North Point is universally regarded as one of the worlds best waves with many top pros rating it as one of their favourites. Nestled in a quiet, protected bay north of Margaret River, Northies can lie dormant for months…but when a solid Indian Ocean groundswell starts hitting The Bay like last Friday, she’ll come roaring back to life.

It’s pretty rare you’ll score her to yourself though. There was an all star cast in the water on Friday with a bunch of east coast pros blowing in for the swell and a solid showing of local crew making it pretty hard to get a wave.  The locals always get their quota out there with Rohan Annesley and Yadin Nichol the stand outs.

fanning’s back

Mick Fanning has posted his second WT victory in a row at Hossegor in France, defeating a pumped up Bede Durbidge in the final. Parko pretty much had it in the bag until Fanning’s recent run of small wave domination reignited the World Title race. Check out the latest ratings at aspworldtour.com.
