South West WA has been laying on some pretty epic waves over the past few days. The whole of the Margaret River region lit up over the weekend, a smorgasbord of pumping reefs and beachies! One beach-break in particular was as good as it gets on Saturday and Sunday.

It was pretty solid on Saturday morning, especially for a beachie. The big, perfect right-hand tubes were a spitting image of Backdoor Pipe.

Local lads Rohan Annersley and Ernie were getting more than their fair share, locking into some lengthy stand-up barrels.

Sunday was a bit smaller but the clean swell and the perfectly formed sandbanks combined to produce some beautiful turquoise peaks which were littered up and down the beach.

It’s looking a bit grim for surf this weekend with moderate onshore winds forecast…but there is plenty of swell on the radar so you’ll get some waves if you’re keen.
