The good oil kept on flowing on the Margaret River coast last week. Wednesday morning started out with a super clean 2.2m swell combo’d with ENE winds.
Dave Delroy-Carr, Cahill Bell-Warren and mad booger Ben Veitch were keen to hook up and shoot a rarely surfed, rowdy reefbreak similar to The Box…but gnarlier….and on speedballs. This wave comes out of deep water and hits an almost dry ledge then just goes CRAZY. Getting a good one out here is a total roll of the dice.
The boys were towing it from deep on their shortboards and setting up the ledge.
Dave DC got whipped into some very heavy waves. How’s this sequence with the superman ejection in the last shot?!
Veitchy got his share too, revelling in the heavy Box-esque slabs.
Hope you had a good weekend. The weather is pretty crook today but there’s plenty of swell kicking around. Winds will be going offshore again towards the end of the week. Have a good Monday!
