Woah, how stormy was it last week? After the barrage of cold-fronts passed on Wednesday and a strong high pressure system set up shop and started spinning counter-clockwise over the Aussie Bight, the Margaret River region began to pump once more!
Friday morning was smoking. Margies Main Break was a squeaky clean 6-8ft thanks to a light ENE wind, the sun was shining and there were waves everywhere. After a hike down the end of a nearby beach we were greeted by spitting 4-6ft peaks.
Dave Delroy-Carr was getting some looong tubes, ducking and weaving his way through the lengthy pits.
How’s this one?!
Beeva Feeva percussion nut, Lee was into it too…
It was solid and clean again on Saturday morning before the northerly kicked in hard at lunchtime, blowing most joints out. Some of the reefs around Margs that like a bit of north in the wind were looking pretty good.
There’s going to be a solid spike in the swell around Wednesday this week. Margs, Perth, South Coast, Nor’West - everywhere will have waves. Fingers crossed the winds aren’t too hectic!
