It has been baltic in sou’west WA the last few weeks so I was pretty stoked to make the trip north earlier this week to soak up some northern warmth.
Monday morning at the local point was 4-6 foot and smoking with long coiling tubes running down the point.
A little ledge inside of the point started showing some form in the afternoon as the tide dropped and the sun began to glow golden. Ry Craike rocked up on cue, stroking into a couple of keepers.
Brett Hardy gave Craikey a run for his money though, scoring plenty of time in the reeling tubes.
The swell backed off by Tuesday morning with 3-4 footers up for grabs at the point - a good size for some of the nearby beachies. After some hectic 4WD action we rolled up to beautiful turquoise peaks littered up and down the beach.
Ozzie Wright and Courtney Brown were launching out of the playful lips and taking to the skies!
There was still a bit of swell kicking around on Wednesday morning, just enough for a nearby right reef ledge. Matty Delroy-Carr and Courtney Brown were pulling in for the view as the sun glistened over their shoulders.
I heard there were some waves in Perth on Monday, yew! It’s pretty average on the Perth beachies today but we’re due for a BIG pulse over the weekend. It’s going to be crook stormy on Saturday with howling SW winds but winds will back off over Sunday so there could be some action on Sunday afternoon. Escape north if you can!
