Despite popular opinion, Perth turns on some fun waves. The metro beachies are pretty much one mega long closeout in summer with really only one wave on the coast that can make something of a fresh summer swell: Trigg Point.

It’s no secret that The Point is Perth’s best wave. Some of WA’s top surfers have grown up on the wedgy peaks that bump into the patch of reef just to the north. A new swell combo’d with light E winds on Tuesday morning saw TP turn on some quality waves. The local lads were even finding a few tubes…

Winds are looking light for the weekend and the swell is going to continue to taper off but there will be waves out of town. Go hunting!
